The pandemic has brought us better nutrition.

The pandemic and the last quarantine period in March of last year, caused by the cases of COVID-19 in Spain, we have seen how eating habits have changed.

Several companies in the market have affirmed with different reports on the purchase of food and its evolution during confinement.

For this reason, “Sociedad Española de Nutrición Comunitaria” (SENC) conducted a study to demonstrate these dietary changes in our homes.

For example, it is corroborated that 14% of the participants cook more at home.

Young people between 18 and 34 years old have increased the consumption of some unprocessed products such as eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, bread, rice and pasta.

The consumption of industrial pastries has also been reduced by 25%, and the consumption of alcoholic beverages by 44%.

This also shows that organizing food for the whole family, thinking about where, how and what to buy, dedicating time to this work, as well as preparing and consuming daily meals, are facts that lead to a healthier diet.

We believe that these new habits are here to stay, as well as performing different physical activities on the terraces and balconies of our homes.
